A workshop to design and prototype a new IoT service…

For the last two years at WebVisions shows, Claro Partners held an Internet of Things (IoT) Lab. This year, Claro is back with an IoT Lab at SXSW. During two days, teams of designers, developers, makers and strategists will explore the tons of opportunities around connected devices. Forget the internet-connected fridge – we want to create products and services that use the tech to provide something that people really need.

Schedule:

Thurs., March 12, 10:00am - 5:30pm
Ideation, planning and product development work sessions.

Tues., March 13, 1:00pm - 5:30pm
Work sessions, product finalization and presentation of prototypes.

What to bring:

Bring your laptop or tablet and any equipment and resources you’d like to bring along to work with to design, develop and prototype your ideas, feel free! Teams will present their final product or service concept in the way that shows it best – including video, rapid prototypes, wireframes.

About the IoT Lab: A hands-on masterclass and workshop

The two days of intensive problem-solving and prototyping start with coffee and inspiration on the Monday morning. Claro will first share its perspective of the IoT, and then the teams dive straight into brainstorming, designing and prototyping new IoT product and service concepts. Claro will provide tools and methods designed especially for innovating in this space and teams will finish the two days with a well-defined service, product and business model and potentially new collaborators and friends to bring the idea to life.

The IoT Lab is is facilitated by Claro Partners and organized by WebVisions
